Luna Butters (Alex)
Race: Slug-person were-rat (bitten on the farm) Class: Thief - high dexterity and illusion magic Goal: Freedom
Background: Originally a farm worker and occasional drinker. Her home village was ransacked by were-rats, sent by Tinder Thunderbush to create a supply of prostitutes while “cleaning up” some non-paying customers. After being bitten, she was taken in by Tinder.
Traits:
- Highly skilled in illusion magic, always appearing human
- Exceptional prostitute (under illusion)
- Loves lettuce, avoids anything salty (pretends otherwise)
Tinder Thunderbush (Katie)
Race: Fairy (born from the concept of capitalism - ancient, mysterious history) Class: Fire mage Goal: Money, and pimping out Luna Butters
Background: Loan shark and pimp. Owes significant debt to mysterious creditors but refuses to acknowledge it - too proud. Instead, takes out more loans to give people even more loans.
Traits:
- Obnoxiously straight
- Incredibly full of herself
- Runs Luna Butters as her best worker
Mister Skybreaker (Dan)
Race: Dwarf (raised by giants) Class: Bounty hunter Goal: Unclear - gambling seems to be his main drive
Background: Raised among giants, he genuinely believes he’s tall. Insanely addicted to gambling, which keeps him going to Tinder for loans. Had a great night with Luna Butters in rat form - terrible morning after when she appeared in human form (short scum).
Traits:
- Hates short people (anyone under 10 feet - “single digiters”)
- Calls all short people “pipsqueaks” or “dwarves”
- Always offended when called a dwarf
- Bounty hunter with a strange pattern of only hunting short people
- Often tricks the party into helping hunt short people without them knowing
Slugbert Oozeworth (Tom)
Originally: Hubert Oxworth
Race: Slug-person (born this way, not cursed) Class: Dual-class - Magic swordsman / Berserker Goal: Originally to become “uncursed” and human - now self-acceptance
Background: Born genuinely disgusting-looking, his royal family told him and the public he was “cursed” (because surely no-one could NATURALLY look that way). Worked as an enforcer for shady loan sharks (the same ones who loan to Tinder Thunderbush). Eventually discovered he’s just really ugly, not cursed - now struggles with self-hatred.
Traits:
- Slimy, scaly, smelly
- Close quarters mage who kills and defiles enemies (necrophilia)
- Elemental magic and sword-fighting (magic monk?)
- Has DID from trauma of being unable to accept himself as Slugbert
- Split personality: Hubert (magic swordsman) vs Slugbert (berserker - triggered when called a slug)
