Disjoint Cycle

A collection of cycles in $\text{Sym}(X)$ is disjoint if no element in $X$ appears in two or more of the cycles, i.e., none of the cycles share any elements in common: they are pairwise disjoint.

Example

The cycles $(123)$ and $(475)$ are disjoint, but not $(123)$ and $(4375)$,
